About our Community
With a friendly population of 160, Heisler is a great place to raise children with a large playground, lots of room for riding bikes, two baseball diamonds, and a basketball court for shooting hoops. A walking trail runs through our beautiful DJW Park and Irene Parlby Park Campground, and a walking trail runs through our Pioneers of Flagstaff Park. Our library is a member of the Parkland Regional Library System and the Flagstaff literacy program. Library hours are on Wednesdays from 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 5 pm

Our naturally soft water is well supplied and is the envy of the County.
Our safe community is regularly patrolled by the RCMP, and Community Peace Officers.
Our dedicated Volunteer Fire Department has two modern, well equipped trucks and is led by Chief; Joe Martz.
Medical facilities, including a clinic and hospital are located close by in Daysland only 15 minutes away.
K-12 schooling is available in Daysland and in Forestburg, both of which are only 15 minutes away.
Our Village provides a self-contained Seniors lodge with four beautiful apartments.

Dog Tags! All dogs in our community must be licensed and have a tag from the Village.
This can be done through the Village Office during Village Office Hours on Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30-4:00.
